The song involves 30 leading Arab Artists from across the Middle East and North Africa singing with one voice for a better tomorrow.
It was twenty six years ago that the iconic recording ‘We Are The World’, produced by Quincy Jones, generated over $63 million dollars to help ease suffering in Africa. A contemporary version of the song was also released last year to aid the victims of the earthquake in Haiti, selling over 267,000 downloads in three days and receiving over 82 Million hits on YouTube to date. Aim: To unite all Arab countries with a charity music track, and create a bridge with the Western world targeting the youth to raise awareness, create a platform for tolerance and communication, and to raise money to finance education programs in Music, Arts & Humanities for children across the Middle East and North Africa, at a crucial time in the region’s history. Charity: United Nations World Food Program has partnered with the BOKRA initiative to incorporate programs into their existing education facilities in impoverished areas across the Middle East and North Africa. Song: Quincy Jones’ original Grammy winning version of the song ‘Tomorrow (A Better You, A Better Me)’ has now been re- adapted and produced by Quincy Jones and Grammy Award winning Moroccan producer: RedOne, which features Arabic vocals performed by 30 leading Artists from 17 Arab countries across the Middle East and North Africa, including: 1.
